Hi, I am Win Lin, known as Win Lin CHAI, MD and sometimes Dr. Comfort GPS across social media. I am a palliative care and internal medicine specialist.
Having travelled through the Malaysian medical system for 16 years, I know the rough bumps along the way. Instinctively, I have also developed a love for sharing what I know to others such that they do not need to make the same mistakes as I did.
The journey as a doctor is a long and arduous one. It can be one of suffering or one that is fulfilling. My mission is to provide you with the tools you need to make this journey one that will fill your heart with joy and satisfaction.
Medical school only provided the medical knowledge to start the journey, but along the way, you will need much more to achieve what you wish for.
And it starts with discovering your element.

"Working under Dr Chai changed the way I understand medicine. She taught me that palliative care is not just about easing symptoms, it is about honouring the person, supporting the family, and walking with them through uncertainty. Her calm presence, gentle communication, and ability to bring comfort even in the hardest situations have been a powerful example for me. She mentored with kindness, encouraged with sincerity, and guided with wisdom. I am privileged to have learned from someone who embodies the true heart of palliative care. "

"I really appreciated your guidance and teaching. You are not only knowledgeable and clear in your teaching, but also very compassionate in the way you communicate with patients and families. I learned a lot from watching how you handle difficult conversations with empathy, calmness, and respect. You have a rare ability to teach both the science and the human side of medicine, and I believe many people would benefit from your coaching and mentorship. 😊 "

"As a mentor, I feel that you are very patient when teaching and you give us the trust that we need. With that, if we trust our own judgment, we became more confident in managing patients/situation 😄 "
